RADHESH KANUMURY

Managing Partner

Amongst the most seasoned B2B investors in India, Radhesh brings rich operational experience in the enterprise technology space. He is a self-driven professional ready to take up challenges. Prior to Suvan Ventures, he co created Arka Venture Labs with the same thesis as Suvan Ventures.  The fund has made 27 investments under his leadership out of which there are 6 exits and 15 uprounds (from Insight Partners, Lightspeed, Matrix, B Capital, Sequoia, Facebook to name a few). Radhesh also mentors his portfolio startups in areas like product, product market fit, GTM, channels strategy, branding, uprounds etc.

He was the investment lead for Obviously.ai (Upround from B capital, TMV, UTec), Deepaffects (Acquired by Rincentral), Insent (acquired by Zoominfo), Simplicontract (Upround from Emergent), Nirmata (Upround from Dallas Venture Capital, Uncorrelated, Zee5 Ventures), dotin Inc (acquired by Opensesame) , Firsthive (Upround from Sama Capital), Essenvia (Upround by Wavemaker), Enact (Upround from Energy Momentum) , Glance HQ, Rocketium (Upround from Tenacity Ventures), Trainn and Zapscale (Upround from Blume Ventures).

Radhesh has also spent 18 years in IBM garnering strong technical, sales, and business development experience. In the last 3.5 years there he headed the Global Entrepreneur Program (IBM startup initiative), for  India and South Asia and made it a company to be reckoned with by the Startup ecosystem in India.

He conceptualized   India`s first B2B Startup challenge called IBM India Smartcamp  and successfully executed the same. Some startups that were initially identified and curated by Radhesh and scaled very well include Hasura, Whatfix,  Medikabazaar, Bizongo, Vymo, SirionLabs, Loginext, Talview, Signzy, Emotix, Getmyparking, Sigtuple with a number of these reaching Unicorn and  Soonicorn status creating a value of more than $6 billion.  Radhesh also worked with Large Enterprises and assisted them in identifying next generation innovations through joint Hackathons and Startup challenges. Prior to this role in IBM he was working as a Software Architect where designed Software solutions for Enterprise Clients, ISVs and System Integrators and created first-of-its-kind solutions in many areas like Application integration, Application Server, Database, Portal, Content Management, Business Intelligence, Security, IoT etc., and led several key Sales wins for IBM.

PIYUSH GUPTA

Managing Partner

Piyush is a serial tech entrepreneur from the Valley. His first company, LiquidPrice/Promeria Software, developed eSourcing software for the procurement of Direct Materials, and was sold in to Ariba in 2004. His second company, Exeros, was in the Information Integration space, and was sold to IBM in 2009. Post the acquisition, Piyush served as Vice-President, Product Management at IBM with responsibility for various software product families including Information Integration, Big Data, Database & Warehousing.
Piyush serves on the Board of Evolko and the Advisory Boards of iNDx Technology, InvariaTech and WujiTech. Past engagements include Advisor to the Office of the CEO at Infosys and SAP, Venture Partner at Helion Ventures, BOD at Sirion Labs, Waterline Data (exited to Hitachi), iNDx Lifecare and LinguaNext (exited to Fidel Tech), and Board of Advisors at Numerify (exited to Digital.ai), Bityota (exited to LifeLock), Cloud Lending (exited to Q2), ZafeSoft and SpeeDEV (exited to Kovair).
Prior to his entrepreneurial stints, Piyush held technical and management positions in companies like IBM, Informix and Schlumberger. Piyush is an informal advisor and mentor to numerous young entrepreneurs and startup companies. He is the USA Coordinator for the not for profit Buddha Fellowship Program, an initiative of Srijan India. Piyush holds a B.Tech (EE) from IIT Kanpur, a Masters (CS) from UT Austin, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Chaitanya is a seasoned entrepreneurial engineering leader with a robust background in Infrastructure engineering.

Before jumping into the entrepreneurial world, Chaitanya was with Salesforce for 16 years and spearheaded the development of top-tier products there.

Chaitanya is based out of the Bay area has strong expertise around Product management and Devops. At Suvan Ventures Chaitanya assists in bringing new companies in the deal flow, evaluating them and performing the necessary due diligence.
